Start Late, Finish Rich by David Bach
This is a motivational book for older readers who have neglected their finances. However, the author book also illustrates what an advantage it is to start saving early in life. The book revolves around the three central tenants of: Spend less, save more, and make more. While these ideas seem simple, Bach uses several stunning real life examples of the miracle of compound interest to show exactly how much money you can actually save and how much money people are waisting due to their “Latte Factor.” It’s a lot more than most people think. This is another great, simple book on the road to financial literacy. It covers such topics as paying down credit, franchising, entrepunuership real estate (note: the advice was given before the subprime crisis of 2008) and living a fulfilling life. I’d recommend this book or any of the books in the “Finish Rich” collection to absolutely anyone.
